LHC CELEBRATES LABOR MANAGEMENT PARTNERSHIP COMMITTEE AT 7TH ANNUAL CYCLONES DAY
July 15, 2010, Brooklyn, NY
Gladys Bruno, patient services associate and co-chair of Lutheran HealthCare's Partnership Committee, and Neil Anastasio, PT, assistant vice president, Rehabilitation Services and former co-chair of the Partnership Committee, threw out the ceremonial first pitches at Wednesday's Brooklyn Cyclones game. The 7th annual LHC Cyclones Day was dedicated to the Partnership Committee, a LHC group committed to the successful collaboration of union members and management.
Over 500 LHC employees, along with their families and friends, attended the annual employee picnic and watched the Cyclones achieve a 7-4 win over the Mahoning Valley Scrappers. The baseball game, held at MCU Park in Coney Island, included a pre-game picnic for the LHC community. In addition, the first 2,500 fans received a Wally Backman "Then & Now" mini bobblehead, courtesy of LHC. Despite the rainy weather, a wonderful time was had by all!
