Clinical research and scholarly activities are important aspects of residency training at Lutheran. Our clinical research program helps residents develop a deeper understanding of relevant medical literature and a personal engagement in research through participation in clinical investigations that suit individual interests. The Office of Clinical Research [LINK AVAILABLE?] provides a full curriculum and training in research planning, design, and analysis as well as publication and presentation skills. A full-time research program director helps residents fully integrate research experience into their training by coordinating all clinical research activities at the medical center.
In addition to training within the Lutheran HealthCare system, we provide residents many opportunities suitable to their educational goals at New York area hospitals and academic institutions, and in the private offices of talented community attending physicians and faculty.
