Subheading Research Staff

Kell Julliard, MA, is an Assistant Vice President at Lutheran Medical Center and has responsibility for Clinical Research, the Institutional Review Board, and quality monitoring in medical student education. He mentors residents from many departments in all phases of conducting research. He holds a masters degree in Expressive Therapy from the University of Louisville and worked as a psychotherapist in the chemical dependency field. Formerly, he was Director of Communications and Publications for the Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Micro Surgery in Louisville, Kentucky.

The Clinical Research Manager monitors study design and implementation and oversees all aspects of data management, including statistical analysis. In addition, the Clinical Research Manager consults with the medical staff, residents and students on all aspects of research-related abstract and publication submissions. She also co-administers the organizational functions and serves as a non-voting member of the Institutional Review Board. 

The Research Administrative Manager mentors resident teams through their writing and researching processes. She has responsibility for medical editing, preparing papers and abstracts for submission to conferences and publications, and project management. In addition, the Research Administrative Manager co-organizes Lutheran HealthCare's annual Research Fair.

The Medical Student Research Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and assigning medical students to available research projects; developing a research lecture curriculum and delivering it to medical students interdepartmentally; and mentoring the medical students, in order to augment their research experiences. The Medical Student Research Coordinator also assists in the writing of research papers and proposals for submission.
