Monthly support group meeting for pre op and post op Lap-Band patients. The program coordinator, psychologists and dietitians from Lutheran Medical Center's Surgical Weight Loss Institute will facilitate the meeting. For more information call 718-667-8100. Please call to confirm meeting.

Lutheran Family Health Centers' 40th Anniversary Celebration:
Park Ridge Family Health Center (6317 4th Avenue, Brooklyn), Noon - 5 p.m.

The Lutheran Family Health Centers network continues its yearlong 40th anniversary celebration of the Sunset Park Family Health Center at Park Ridge Family Health Center. The community is invited to its health fair, featuring giveaways and a raffle for great prizes. Educational information on Women's Health, HPV, and Gardasil will be available. HIV counseling will be offered. Health screenings for asthma, blood pressure, dental and glucose will also be offered. For more information please call Joan Burns at 718-630-6837.

Lutheran Medical Center, 3rd Floor Conference Room (150 55th Street, Brooklyn), Noon - 1:30 p.m.

LMC invites stroke survivors and their families to share their experiences with other stroke survivors and receive information on Lutheran's services. Light refreshments will be served. Lutheran Family Health Centers' are hosting a fun filled celebration in honor of National Health Centers Week and its annual Back to School Blast! Lutheran Family Health Centers continues its 40 th Anniversary celebration of the Sunset Park Family Health Center with a variety of screenings and information on programs will be offered, including back to school immunizations (new school health requirements), hearing, dental, Reach Out and Read, PCAP, family planning, WIC, diabetes/asthma, nutrition, blood pressure, PSA, cancer, HIV and more. Located across the street from Lutheran Medical Center at Martin Luther Park, 2nd Avenue between 55th and 56th Streets.
